THE DRESDEN FILES TRIVIA

As of May 2006 the Sci-Fi Channel has ordered 11 episodes of The Dresden Files, based on the quality of the pilot. The pilot film itself premiered on January 21, 2007.

James Marsters, who did the narration for some of the audiobooks in the series, turned down the opportunity to audition for the role of Harry Dresden because he didn't want to move to Toronto in case the series made it to production.

EPISODE ONE

The protective warding bracelet Harry wears belonged to his mother, Margo.

Bob's "Doombox" is a device which contains and amplifies magical energy.

Ravens are morally nuetral, being neither good nor evil. This may lend them some immunity to magical warding devices which are designed to shield the bearer from evil.

Harry Dresden's believes that he killed his evil uncle, Justin Morningway, but a person who seems to be that very uncle is shown at the end of this episode standing outside the church during the explosion.

Detective Murphy has a nine year old daughter named Anna.

EPISODE TWO

EPISODE THREE

FBI Agent and lyncanthrope Kelly Raskin was infected while working in Bosnia.

Bob can easily assume another person's appearance at will; he can also assume the appearance of a dead person by touching their blood.

Mina, the murder victim, was bitten at Kirby's Bar in Southbend, Indiana.

Before werewolf Heather skips town, she gives Harry a passionate good-bye kiss which leaves him with a bloody lip, yet he doesn't become a lycanthrope himself.

EPISODE FOUR

EPISODE FIVE

EPISODE SIX

When the High Council's Ancient Mai and company break through Harry's front door, the protective wards which normally surround his door are missing from the scene.

Even the undead can suffer from addiction - The Black Court is plagued by Third Eye, which is the vampire version of crack, as opposed to The Red Court, who are against drug use and currently have a peace treaty with the High Council.

In the aftermath surrounding his Uncle's apparent death, vampire Bianca found Harry and kept him safely hidden from the High Council.

EPISODE SEVEN

We are finally told why Bob is trapped in his own skull - he fell in love with a sorceress named Winifred, and when she died he brought her back to life, perhaps on more than one occasion. For this, he was sentenced to spend eternity in his skull.

EPISODE EIGHT

Harry's office address is 1273 Grand Avenue, Chicago IL 60612, and his phone number is 312-555-0199

The phone book ad prior to Harry's is for Bradly and Son Industrial Wiring Recycling Services. One can only presume that they don't get much business, however, since they only have a partial phone number listed in the book.

In a nod to the genre, the bad boys in this episode belong to the Psi Phi Xi fraternity

EPISODE NINE

Storm Front is the original pilot episode: Bob does not exist, Murphy knows about magic, Dresden has a nice office, and he's unwilling to investigate incidents involving black magic..

Bianca helps introduce "fledgeling" wizards and witches to the magical world.
